Role Overview

The Supervisor Production is essential to the manufacturing and packaging of high-quality fan merchandise. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, this position will oversee and direct daily production processes, routine and advanced assignments, and monitor performance to ensure efficiency and quality related to all aspects of production including manual and automated work centers. May be required to operate a wide variety of machinery including adjust settings/speed or otherwise complete basic troubleshooting. The Supervisor Production must take responsibility for the safety, quality, and timely execution of production operations according to direction received from the Operations Manager. This position will be responsible for day-to-day oversight and support of assigned Production Specialists and Machine Operators to leverage each athlete to their maximum skillset, while meeting business needs. In addition, accurately track production output, monitor quality standards, and report on team and process performance. Will work collaboratively with other site Supervisors to accomplish goals, address athlete corrective and commendation actions, and effectively carry out priorities established by Planning and Site Leadership. This position requires sustained moderate physical activity throughout the shift, including ability to crouch, climb, push, pull, reach, lift and carry. Supervisors will be assigned in varying work centers, and it is essential that they are prepared to report to secondary work centers, building locations, or alternate shift patterns as directed.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Responsible for the selection, training, timekeeping, coaching, and career development of manufacturing athletes.
  • Supervises staff to produce manufactured products while organizing and monitoring effective workflow.
  • Ensure timely and accurate tracking of production output, monitoring quality standards, and reporting on team and process performance.
  • Ability to generate and submit reports on performance and progress of both individual staff and overall departments.
  • Identify and solve production issues, and work to improve overall efficiency and optimize processes.
  • With guidance from HR, EHS, and Site Leadership, maintains a safe work environment while assisting in the investigation and follow up for all personnel issues, safety violations, and/or accidents.
  • Responsible for effective and timely internal communication with Operations Manager, other Supervisors, Planning personnel, and other departments to achieve company goals.
  • Leverage systems and technology to ensure accurate status of WIP and make data-informed decisions together with stakeholders regarding shipping based on fulfillment and individual customer criteria.
  • Strong knowledge of organizational workflow and ability to delegate by assigning responsibilities and formulating schedules in order to accomplish:
    • KPI's by providing manufacturing results through compiling data, initiating/sorting the results, and analyzing production performance through these records directly with the Operations Manager.
    • Completion of general production duties as assigned including, but not limited to, FMS utilization, material coordination, use of both manual, automated and digital tools and machines, and correctly label/package according to customer specification.
    • Completion of daily and weekly preventative maintenance of equipment, such as cleaning and oiling, as required.
    • Completion of basic equipment set up such as adjusting settings, changing needles, and basic disassemble/reassemble.
  • Participates in cycle counts and year-end physical inventory.
  • Performs general housekeeping and department six sigma activities.
  • Adheres to all Department and Company Standards, Operating Procedures and Safety Requirements.
  • Treats others with respect and conducts themselves in a positive and inclusive manner daily.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What You Bring to the Team

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven work experience as a Production Supervisor or similar role.
  • 3+ years of general production and/or machine operation experience.
  • Understand written instructions with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient data entry skills and software applications including Microsoft Suite, Infor Powerlink/FMS, and the ability to learn new software programs, as needed.
  • Mechanical knowledge is sufficient to make equipment adjustment using hand tools.
  • Ability to complete basic technology applications / basic computer aptitude.
  • Good hand dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to complete repetitive machine operation tasks.
  • Ability to read shop packets and follow instruction.
  • Ability to count accurately, complete accurate measurements, and complete mathematical computations.
  • Ability to inspect materials and finished products for defects.
  • Ability to learn and apply accurate PMS Color matching knowledge.
  • Maintain current certifications:
    • Bloodborne pathogens
    • PIT
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs. & participate in a team lift of 50 lbs.
  • Able to sit or stand for entire shift.
  • Able to turn or bend.
  • Able to grip/grasp continuously.
  • Able to push a cart.

    • Long pants/blue jeans

The salary range for this position is $59-79K which represents base pay only and does not include short-term or long-term incentive compensation. When determining base pay, as part of final compensation package, we consider several factors such as location, experience, qualifications, and training.
