About the Team and the Role
The Treasury International team supports eBay's global marketplace by managing liquidity across EMEA and APAC to meet daily operating needs and enable longer-term growth. This role sits within eBay Treasury and works closely with regional subsidiaries, banks, and cross-functional partners including Finance and Managed Payments. We are looking for someone who is naturally curious about technology, enjoys experimenting with new tools, including AI-powered solutions, and thrives in an environment where operational excellence and continuous improvement go hand in hand.
What You Will Accomplish
- Ensure daily liquidity across EMEA and APAC by preparing cash positions and short-term cash flow forecasts for regional subsidiaries and the Treasury Centre.
- Execute daily treasury transactions, including intercompany transfers, netting, funding requests, and short-term investments, while partnering with banks to resolve operational issues.
- Produce reporting and analytics that provide insight into cash positions, liquidity, interest income, and counterparty exposures.
- Identify opportunities to apply automation and AI solutions to simplify manual activities, improve decision-making, and enhance the efficiency of treasury operations.
- Assist with treasury system administration, testing, implementations, upgrades, and process documentation.
- Bring a continuous improvement mindset by challenging existing processes and helping implement practical, scalable solutions.
What You Will Bring
- 3–5 years of experience in treasury, finance, banking, accounting, or another analytical role, supported by a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field (Master's degree is an advantage).
- Strong analytical and data skills, with experience working with large datasets and translating insights into business decisions using advanced Excel/Google Sheets and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or SQL.
- Experience with Treasury Management Systems (ideally Quantum) and familiarity with ERP platforms such as SAP S/4HANA.
- Exposure to automation and technology, including tools such as Python, Power Query, VBA, APIs, or similar, with a passion for improving treasury processes through technology.
- Interest in AI and digital innovation, with experience using AI-powered tools (e.g., ChatGPT Enterprise, Microsoft Copilot, Claude AI, GitHub Copilot, or similar) to enhance productivity, analysis, and workflow automation is considered an advantage.
