About PSA

Position: Corporate IT Engineer, Japan

As the Corporate IT Engineer, Japan, you will be responsible for building, managing, and scaling IT operational support for our growing Tokyo, Japan office. You'll work on-site at our Tokyo office.

Job Duties

  • Support day-to-day IT operations at the Tokyo, Japan office through Jira, Slack, Email, Phone, or in-person interactions.
  • Level 1 and Level 2 technical support to end-users via phone and ticket submissions
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software issues at level 1 and 2 support.
  • Document and track issues, resolutions, and follow-up actions.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members to escalate and resolve complex issues.
  • Maintain knowledge of current IT systems, applications, and best practices.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on various software applications and tools.
  • Basic knowledge of Active Directory, imaging, and endpoint management is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of system administration also a plus.
  • Basic Knowledge of core applications (Okta, Google, Slack, etc.)
  • Basic understanding of tickets systems, Jira being a plus.
  • Manage and maintain AV equipment in conference rooms and all-hands spaces.
  • Provide after-hours, on-call support for end users on a rotational basis (required).
  • Provide "white glove" IT support and service for all executive-level staff.
  • Document changes, modifications, and troubleshooting in the ticketing system; ensure timely resolution of all incidents and requests.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or a related technical field, or IT certifications with equivalent practical experience, and 2 years of experience in the offered position or a closely related role.
  • 2 years of experience supporting Windows, macOS, networking, mobile, video conferencing, and/or voice technologies.
  • 1+ years with Active Directory, Okta and Google Workspace (big plus).
  • 1+ years managing network shares and network printers; 2+ years printer support (Zebra knowledge a plus).
  • Experience with Windows, Networking, Scripting, and Automation, and/or application troubleshooting.
  • Systematic problem-solving approach and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and ambiguity.
  • Excellent customer service, organization, prioritization, multitasking, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Experience with Okta SSO and/or user provisioning, as well as Jira ITSM, is a plus.
  • Knowledge of MDM (e.g., Endpoint Central, Kandji) is a plus; awareness of ITIL and IT Change Management best practices is also a plus; and knowledge of VPNs, firewalls, and switching is a plus.
