About the Role

We are looking for an ambitious Associate Category Manager to join the eBay Live Category team. In this role, you will support the Category Lead in driving growth across key Collectibles verticals. You will help complete category strategies, support seller growth initiatives, coordinate programming activities, and use data insights to improve business performance. This role offers an outstanding opportunity to develop expertise in live commerce while working at the intersection of category management, seller engagement, content programming, and business analytics. You will work closely with Category Management, Account Management, Business Development, Programming, Marketing, and Operations teams to deliver outstanding live shopping experiences and speed up category growth!

Your Responsibilities

  • Category Growth: Own the day-to-day management and performance of assigned categories. Identify category trends, market opportunities, and competitive insights to support business planning.
  • Programming Support & Event Execution: Partner with Programming teams to optimize category calendars, event scheduling, promotional activities, and tentpole events.
  • Seller Management: Partner with sellers to boost event performance, consistency, and engagement.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Monitor category benchmarks including GMV, seller efficiency, buyer engagement, retention, and growth metrics. Use data and insights to find opportunities for category and seller performance improvement.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Business Development to identify and recruit new sellers and brands.

What You Bring

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years working in Category Management, Account Management, E-commerce, Marketplace Operations, or a similar commercial position.
  • Communication: Excellent organizational skills combined with strong communication abilities.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical approach with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate insights into actions. Proficiency with Excel, Tableau, Google Sheets, or similar reporting and analytics tools.
  • Working Style: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with high levels of cross-functional collaboration. Enthusiasm for Collectibles categories such as Comics, Action Figures, Lego, Diecast, Coins, Sports Memorabilia is highly preferred.
  • Languages: Proficiency in both English and Italian is mandatory.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to occasionally work weekends and travel as needed.

Additional Details

The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below: 36,000 EUR - 49,700 EUR Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a range of insurance coverage (including medical) and/or other benefits (including retirement plan eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO, wellbeing and parental leave).
