About the Role

About

We are Chrono24. The world's leading online marketplace for luxury watches. Every day, we bring together watch enthusiasts, collectors, dealers, and buyers from all over the world. As a global tech company with strong growth, a highly data-driven culture, and a clear focus on quality and transparency, we are actively shaping the future of the luxury watch market. For the Chrono24 Group, with subsidiaries in Germany, the UK, the Netherlands, Japan, Hong Kong, and the US, we are looking for an experienced Controlling leader who will help shape our setup and take our financial steering to the next level.

What you will do

As Head of Controlling, you will shape the Controlling setup of the Chrono24 Group together with your team. Your main focus will be the further development of our budgeting process, investor reporting, and an efficient cost and revenue controlling framework with strong analytical depth. You will work closely with the CFO, the Director Data, the business units, and the Finance team to ensure that our steering logic is robust, transparent, and truly useful in day-to-day operations. In this role, you will connect Controlling, Accounting, and Data, turning figures into actionable decisions for the business.

What you can expect

  • You will help shape an international Controlling setup for a growing group structure with multiple subsidiaries.
  • You will further develop structured budgeting and forecasting processes and ensure regular, reliable actual vs. plan reviews.
  • You will drive clear and effective investor reporting and provide management with solid decision-making input.
  • You will challenge numbers, assumptions, and business logic in a constructive way and treat Controlling as a real management tool.
  • You will work closely with our Data team, especially Data Analytics, to further develop data-driven and automated reporting and analysis processes.
  • You will bring structure to complex topics, set clear priorities, and make sure that reporting, planning, and analysis work in practice.
  • You will lead and develop your team, provide direction, and create an environment where strong work can thrive.
  • You will bring fresh ideas into Controlling and help evolve the function from a technical, process, and strategic perspective.

What sets you apart

  • Several years of relevant experience in Controlling, ideally gained in a fast-growing international business group.
  • First leadership experience and a genuine interest in developing people and taking ownership.
  • A structured, analytical mindset and the ability to keep an overview in complex situations.
  • Strong skills in budgeting, forecasting, and data analysis.
  • The ability to connect financial and operational KPIs and turn them into meaningful steering insights.
  • Confident communication skills in both German and English, spoken and written.
  • A hands-on mindset, a critical view on existing processes, and the ability to contribute ideas proactively.
  • Strong Excel skills, a quick grasp of new systems, and ideally experience with LucaNet.
  • A good understanding of modern analytics and AI-supported ways of working, and the ability to use them to make Controlling processes more efficient.

What we offer

  • A strategically important role with real room to shape and build.
  • A dynamic, international company with leading Private Equity involvement.
  • A modern work environment with flexible hours and hybrid working options.
  • A benefits app with a monthly allowance of €80 for sports, childcare, or flexible mobility.
  • Free lunch to keep you energized and bring the team together.
  • A permanent employment contract with long-term development opportunities.
  • 30 days of annual leave.
  • Additional paid time off on December 24 and December 31.
  • Option to work up to 20 days per year from abroad.
  • Diversity@Chrono24: We believe in the power of diversity.
